11 Days, 6 days trekking, 5,790m altitude

Challenge yourself on this 11-day adventure to Ecuador’s “avenue of the volcanoes”, a breathtaking valley running south from Quito , that is home to some of the world’s tallest active volcanoes. You will summit 5 volcanic peaks, including 2 active ones, on this varied and exciting itinerary. Cold weather, steep glacial ascents and the thin air all of high altitude all add to the challenge

Welsh 3000’s Trek – UK

UK, Min Group Size 25+, Summit, Trek

In order to complete the Welsh 3000s Challenge you are required to have been at the top of all 15 of the mountains over 3000 ft in Snowdonia National Park Wales within the space of 24 hours, without using any form of transport. The length of the total route is about 30 miles, and this is a tough non-stop trek yet the challenge will be paced with trained mountain guides, support staff, rest stops, food, medics and much more to ensure that all who take it on have the best chance of making it to the finish line; 24 hours and 15 summits later!

Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

UK, Min Group Size 20+, Trek

Located roughly in the centre of Northern England is a beautiful area of valleys and hills. These hills are fairly rugged, with steep sides, exposed cliff edges and several peaks over 600m. Added to the natural beauty of this national park are age-old human influences, with remains of ancient settlements, scenic farms and villages, field-barns and classic limestone walls. We take the challenge of climbing 3 of these peaks, covering 24 miles in one day.


Trek Sciily

Italy, Min Group Size 15+, Trek

Montalbano is a wonderful medieval village on a hilltop. You will be treated to some classic Montalbano home-grown food, wines and a little local music. Experience good walking paths and superb contrasts between lava flows and the birch and pine forest. Our specialist guides will give explanations of the phenomena surrounding the volcano and we visit some of the various cave formations such as Grotta del Lamponi and Grotta del Gelo.

In the third week of July, we walk the 4Days Marches together, the world’s largest walking achievement event! Over 45,000 participants with more than 70 different nationalities, from as young as 11 to over 90, come to Nijmegen every year to walk 30, 40 or 50 kilometres for four days in this city on the Waal river and its beautiful, wooded surroundings. They all gather with the same objective in mind: being awarded the coveted 4Days Marches Cross.

Dragon’s Back Race

1st to 6th September 2025

The Dragon’s Back Race® is a legendary 380km, 6-day ultra running journey through Wales. From Conwy Castle to Cardiff Castle, enjoy spectacular scenery, amazing camaraderie and first class support on this once in a lifetime adventure!  Not quite ready for the full route? Check out the equally inspiring Hatchling - a stepping stone to the full route or a brilliant experience in its own right!

The Full Dragon: Considered to be one of the toughest mountain races in the world, participants attempting the Full Course will need to cover 380km with 16,400m of ascent along the Dragon’s Back of Wales.

The Hatchling: The Hatchling can be thought of as a ‘choose-your-own adventure’ in which participants can choose to do part of the race route each day - typically either the first half or the second half. (Walk or Run).

Note: Cost to enter wither the Full Dragon or the Hatchling is £1,699!

Resting in between Mt. Kanchenjunga and the Langtang National Park the world highest mountain, Mt. Everest has been the greatest attraction for those who prefer adventure and a desire to challenge the high mountain ranges. On this eleven day trek we witness some of the most breathtaking scenery, visiting some of the highest villages in the world, and admiring sunrise over the Himalayan snow-capped peaks and Khumbu Glacier. From the peak of Kala Patthar, we gaze up at the mighty Everest summit. On our return to Kathmandu, we spend our last night together to celebrate our journey.

Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes - Nepal

20 days, 15 days trekking, 5,364m altitude

This trekking challenge will take you all the way to Everest Base Camp- at the very foot of the World’s highest peak, and back via the quieter and more adventurous Gokyo Valley. With 15 days of trekking through the Khumbu and Gokyo Valleys you’ll get to see the incredible Himalayas from all angles. You’ll also get to experience Sherpa culture and hospitality, as we’ll be staying in traditional tea houses for the entirety of the trek. Acclimatisation days built in, side trips and an optional sun rise trek to Kala Patthar all help make sure we have a world class adventure. The journey back from base camp, over the high passes and into the Gokyo Valley is perhaps the real hidden gem of this trek! There are stunning glacial lakes and a real remote feel. Then, after the trekking, it’s off to the bustling capital of Kathmandu. After 11 days of trekking the comfortable hotel accommodation and traditional Nepali celebration meal round off an incredible challenge.

Bhutan The Druk Path Trek - Bhutan

13 days, 6 days trekking, 4,210m altitude

The Druk Path follows a varied and beautiful route within a network of Bhutan’s original mule trails. We trek from Paro to Thimphu, through the mountains, and surrounded by some of the finest natural sights in the world.

The challenge, though short, is extremely varied. We pass through rhododendron forest, across open yak pastures and along glorious high ridges. Highlights along the way include serene sacred lakes teeming with trout, meeting nomadic yak herders, and visiting a haunted monastery. In good weather, you will be stopped in your tracks by the wonderful views of the snow-capped eastern Himalaya.

9 days, 5 days trekking, 45km distance

On this 9-day adventure we hike for 5 days along an iconic structure – the Great Wall of China! Each day of this challenge we visit and trek along different sections of the Great Wall, experiencing the changing landscape and learning about the deep history of each part of the wall – it is a classic adventure – and one to tick off the bucket list!

Mera Peak Climb – Nepal

20 days, 15 days trekking, 6,476m altitude

This classic Himalayan ascent that takes you through quiet and remote valleys, over high passes and right to the breath taking summit of Mera Peak at 6461m. The Dalai Lama Trek begins in Dharamsala, where the Dalai Lama and the centre of the Tibetan Community are situated – the heart of the world’s highest mountain range. The five-day trek will take you through the Kingdom of Gaddi – a semi-nomadic race that spends months wandering the high passes with their cattle. With spectacular views of the Daula Dhar Mountain Range, you will trek through rhododendron forests, passing through Hindu settlements and Buddhist Monasteries.

To end this amazing challenge you will have free time to explore the incomparable Taj Mahal – one of the world’s greatest monuments to love ever built, and one of the Seven Wonders of the World!

26th Sept – Kerala Trek – India

Join the new Kerala Trek in 2025 and experience evergreen forests, tea and spice plantations and one of the Western Ghat’s highest peaks.

During the course of your adventure, you will discover one of the most beautiful states in India, seeing rich flora and fauna and dense cloud forests along the way. On the first day alone, you will pass through high-altitude shola rainforest and grasslands, before scaling Meesapulimala. During five days of trekking, you’ll also see the placid and beautiful Anaerangal Lake, Mathikettan Shola National Park and you’ll stop at the highest point of the Chaturangapara Peak to witness the vast views of the Tamilnadu plains. At the end of that all, you will board a houseboat in Alleppey and drift along the canals before enjoying a celebratory meal to mark the end of the challenge.

Mount Toubkal Trek is three days of stunning scenery and breathtaking views across North Africa. Perfect for those who with a taste for adventure but are pushed for time, Mount Toubkal Trek takes just five days door to door.

Despite the shorter length of time required to complete this challenge, reaching the summit of Mount Toubkal represents a tough challenge, the terrain is demanding and will involve scrambling over boulders and negotiating scree. However, the exceptional support and expert mountain guides provided mean no previous trek experience is necessary.

With some tough trekking, Berber hospitality, camping, camaraderie, expert guides, sunshine, and a Marrakech celebration – it’s an unforgettable Moroccan adventure!


Kilimanjaro Lemosho – Tanzania

11 days, 7 days trekking, 5,895m altitude

The Lemosho Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the West, and starts in pristine forest before crossing the vast Shira plateau, and merging into the Machame Route after Shira Camp (on Day 3 of the trek). The route traverses around to the east on Kilimanjaros’ southern side – and provides a fantastic varied trek with changing views. This Kilimanjaro itinerary includes the famous Barranco Wall and an extra acclimatisation day with a shorter day trekking prior to summit day, which ensures you get more rest, more time to prepare for the summit push, and the best chance of making it to the top. Sahara Desert Trek – Morocco

Take on the rolling Dunes of the world's largest Desert

This all-inclusive 8-day Moroccan challenge takes you into the heart of the Sahara Desert. Over 5 days of trekking, you will follow dried riverbeds from oasis to oasis, climb shifting sand dunes and camp in Bedouin tents underneath a blanket of stars. Expect hot sands, cool nights, and a brilliant celebration dinner in exotic Marrakech on your final night.

Saharan Ultra Challenge – Morocco

Push yourself further – take on The Saharan Challenge! It’s 2 marathon distances over 2 days. A fantastic route through the Draa Valley down to sun baked dunes on the desert edge, with rugged mountain scenery, and a Bedouin style basecamp. The courses all take runners through some of the most remote wilderness in the Addo Elephant National Park, through areas they would not be able to access any other way.

The race and hike both start in front of the historical forts and castle in the village of Al-Wasil in the Wilayat of Bidiyah and end at the Al Jawharat Resort.

The world’s first expedition-length, rogaine format adventure race will return for its third edition from 4-9 May, 2025. 100 hours of guaranteed racing over a spectacular wilderness course with all of the navigational and strategic challenge that the Rogue Raid events are known for. Each stage covers the core adventure racing disciplines of trekking, mountain biking, and packrafting and must be completed in order, however all check points on any given stage are optional.

The marathon will head down to the He Ara Kotahi pathway via Dairy Farm Road, then out to Linton and back to the He Ara Kotahi pedestrian bridge. From here, marathon participants will head downstream along the Riverside walkway to Paneiri Park and then make their way back upstream, underneath both He Ara Kotahi bridge, Fitzherbert Bridge, then all the way to Te Matai Road to the turn around point. From here they will return via the Riverside walkway, cross the Fitzherbert Bridge and return to Massey University to finish.

Location: The start and finish lines are located across the road from The Shire's Rest, 501 Buckland Road, Hinuera

The Middle-earth Halfling Marathon takes participants on a journey through sites and scenes from the epic trilogies including some locations only ventured to by wizards and Halflings. Participants will roam through the picturesque village of Hobbiton, through Gandalf’s Cutting, past the Sackville™ Orchard and up to Bag End before weaving down to Bagshot Row™ and past the sparkling lakefront. If time allows, a stop for a brief refreshment at The Green Dragon™ Inn before the final leg of the adventure to the finish line across from The Shire’s Rest™.
